Itinerary

Day One: Moshi/Arusha/Airport to Tarangire National Park

We will depart in the morning from Moshi, Arusha, or the airport, depending on where you begin your safari, and proceed to Tarangire National Park. The two-story high termite mounds and upside-down huge baobab trees may be found here. The stunning scenery and abundance of birdlife contribute to Tarangire National Park's undeniably tranquil atmosphere. Furthermore, the African elephant population, which numbers over 300 individuals, is a sight to behold.

Day Two: Tarangire National Park to Serengeti National Park

Adult male African elephants weigh seven tonnes, making them the biggest living terrestrial animals. Hardy African lions, giraffes, toothy warthogs, ostriches, impalas, nimble cheetahs, mongooses, water buffalo, and red-bottomed baboons are also native to Tarangire's savannah. Our guide will transfer you to the Fanaka Campsite when your game drive concludes, which includes a pool and hot showers. Guests are given complete camping amenities, as is standard with each tour. Superb breakfast with local and organic food at camp will be provided, followed by a spectacular drive to the Serengeti National Park. We'll take the scenic road to Serengeti, giving us a bird's-eye view of Ngorongoro Crater. There is a good chance of spotting wildlife during the drive. The boundless golden savanna, juxtaposed with the bright patterns of zebras, lions, and elephants, explains why the Serengeti is one of Africa's Seven Natural Wonders. We will stop for a picnic lunch on the park's most famous kopje (a tiny hill in a normally flat area), where tourists can appreciate the immensity of the Serengeti from atop the hill. We will continue into the Serengeti for a leisurely wildlife drive, where you will most likely see giraffes, elephants, and zebra herds. You'll spend the night in Nyani (Baboon) Serengeti Camp, where you'll fall asleep to the sounds of zebra, lions, and gazelles.

Day Three: Serengeti National Park

The day will start in the heart of the magnificent Serengeti. We'll continue our adventure into the plains after a full breakfast. Because we have planned a full day of game viewing, you will most likely see hundreds of the various creatures that call the Serengeti home. This day will likely include sightings of the park's iconic African species, including lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, and water buffalo, all within a few feet of the jeep. Visitors will also see some of the park's less well-known but equally magnificent creatures, such as elands, hyenas, gazelles, crocodiles, giraffes, zebras, monkeys, baboons, hippos, rhinos, and antelope.

Day Four: Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

Our final wildlife drive in the Serengeti before continuing to Ngorongoro Crater. We will spend the night in Simba Camp, positioned on the crater rim and great for watching the beautiful sunset across the savannah within the caldera. Guests may look forward to a delicious meal prepared fresh by the Viva Africa Tour's friendly cook after viewing the sunset.

Day Five: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Manyara National Park

We will head for the Ngorongoro Crater early in the morning since early mornings are ideal for spotting wildlife, particularly inside the Big 5 Safari Tanzania. The savage lion, the enormous elephant, the sneaky leopard, the charging rhino, and the muscular water buffalo are among the strongest creatures in Africa. After a leisurely wildlife drive in the morning, we'll have a picnic lunch at a lagoon teeming with hippos inside the crater. We'll be able to watch the hippos splash around while we eat our snacks and sandwiches. Ngorongoro Crater is notable for providing a unique habitat for wildlife, which flourish beneath the protective protection given by the caldera's steep walls. A massive volcano erupted millions of years ago, crushing the volcano but leaving a flawlessly unbroken crater. It is the only one in the world like it. Visitors may expect to see zebra, hippo, wildebeest, and cackling hyenas during the Ngorongoro Crater drive. Similarly, groups of beautiful flamingos lounge in Soda Lake as vultures and hawks circle the skies in quest of a robust diet of abandoned carcasses. The crater's aquatic birds include storks, ibises, and cranes. Our game drive will end shortly after lunch, and we will begin our journey back to camp. This evening, visitors will enjoy the serenity of Fanaka Campsite as well as a great meal provided hot and fresh.

Day Six: Lake Manyara National Park to Moshi

We will visit Lake Manyara National Park on the final day of the journey. We will have an early breakfast to begin our game drive in time to see the Big Five species. Lake Manyara National Park, located at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, offers gorgeous yet varied landscapes. We will depart Manyara in the late afternoon and travel to Moshi to complete our safari. Guests will appreciate the breathtaking countryside en route to Moshi as we travel by Maasai bomas, baobab forests, and rolling savannah grasslands. Airport transportation is available upon request.
